My plants have small brown spots on them which seem to spread. The whole plant is looking sad, and it’s not flowering.
Probably the problem is blight. The solution is a fungicide.

Plant potatoes in the spring, 2-3 weeks before the frost date. Here in Utah County, that means mid- to late-April.
The potatoes should flower–you can harvest “new potaotes” (small, thin skins) 2-3 weeks after they flower. Or, wait until the vines die. Dig up the “late potaotes” (larger, tough skins) and brush off dirt. Store in [...]

I’ve been somewhat avoidant and angry at my garden this year. It snowed nearly every week in May, we had several huge windstorms, and it’s been unseasonably cool. The weather feels about a month behind. I figured out that my video camcorder can take pictures, so I finally took some!

The garden is growing. I’ve been harvesting peas, carrots, broccoli, and green beans. I even pulled out a small onion. So darn delicious.
Note: a bunch of my onions are flowering. I finally read up on that–not good news. But they’ll be okay I think. It’s from the varying temps–which has definitely been the case.
