  1. Help! I transplanted my broccoli and cauliflower and now the leaves have turned yellow/brown and droop. It looks like the plants are starting to form some additional leaves, so I’m hoping they’ll recover. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? They seemed healthy before I transplanted them. I used the jiffy pots and cut off the bottoms like you suggest. The soil is pretty damp because of some recent rain. The site gets full sun (when there is some!). I am in Michigan, the green group. Thanks!

  2. Did you harden them off before putting them outside? With the Jiffy Pots I’ve taken to pulling the whole pot apart. If the roots are really stuck or root bound, I do cut them. It does sound like they might be suffering from too much water. Funny–over-watering can be as bad as under-watering. Give them some time–new leaves may grow and you’ll be on your way. If not, you may want to buy some transplants and start again. Good luck!
