Summer Slump
I have to apologize. I’m really sorry for disappearing. I was doing so well–posting several times a week, and then summer hit. Here’s what summer looks like for me:
- Mother’s day
- End of School
- Start Summer Homeschooling*
- My birthday
- Father’s day
- Local Rodeo (huge family tradition)
- My husband’s birthday
- 4th of July
- LOTS of family in town (this spans about 2 weeks)
- My son’s birthday
I always think “This year will be different. This year I’ll keep going.” But then I hit my summer slump for blogging. With kids home all day, it’s hard to sit down to the computer very consistently, and after my kids finally get in bed (around 10:00pm, thank you long days of summer), all I want to do is veg out.
So I’m setting a new goal–post once a week, or so. I’ve got another post coming today, and then it’s time for a garden update.
*For those of you who have an opinion (good or ill) about the homeschooling thing, let me just say that I don’t always do this, nor do I particularly want to do it. But my son needs it, and it benefits us all in the long run. I’m neither a saint nor a fool–I’m a mom.
I think a lot of us are just as busy as you are this time of year, so don’t sweat it. I think most of us really need the help in the beginning of the gardening season anyway and the help I am seeking now you have already posted. So it’s all good. 🙂
So good to hear from you! Look forward to hearing your update.
We homeschool and can’t imagine ever going back to public school. It’s a good thing…
