Announcing my new e-books!
I’ve been working overtime to create two e-books that I hope will be helpful to you.
Here is a short video overview:
The first book is Planting by Color. It is a beautifully formatted planting schedule for each color group. I have put this in my gardening binder, with each page in a sheet protector. That way I can have everything with me in the garden! The sheet protectors serve several purposes:
- I can take notes with an overhead marker, and then use the schedule year after year
- It protects from water, dirt, and wind
- It serves as a pocket to store seeds in
This information is still available to you for free on my website and via the newsletters, but I’ve made this for those of you (like me!) who want to have everything with you in the garden. This video is specifically about the Planting by Color book and how to use it.
The second book is Gardening for Beginners. It is a step by step guide that walks you through the entire process. Many books, and even my site, have so much information that is overwhelming to new gardeners. I have created this simple workbook that will give you a jump start to a successful garden. Watch this video for more information:
Please don’t worry that I’m selling something on my website–I will continue to provide lots of great content, all for free! But I feel these e-books are a valuable resource to those who don’t have the time to sift through everything I’ve already posted, or just want everything in a nicely organized, printable format.
Happy to–watch for a post in the near future!
Emily could you give the plans for your trelis? I love that idea but have no idea how you made it from the pics. Any help would be appreciated 🙂
Love the E books. Can’t wait to start my garden. Thanks for all the great info right at my finger tips. Keep up the good work!
By the way, looking good in those videos!
Sweet! Just let me know when you’re coming! 😉
I will send you some pictures. It’s pretty daunting. The people who lived here before us were here 35+ years, didn’t do anything to it, and it’s quite a mess back there. I think I will just start small. Maybe some potatoes and onions and carrots. Oh, and John really likes salad so maybe lettuce. See, it just turns into too much so I don’t even try. Oh, and I would like to clear a place for Kevin’s little swimming pool and sandbox this summer. I need to go read the beginner’s guide…
Becky, since you’re my friend, I’d come and visit and help set you up with a garden no matter what. For the rest of my readers, it might take a Disneyland bribe! 🙂 Emily
Will you please come visit me? I have a little back yard and I need someone to tell me exactly what to do with it. I will take you to Disneyland. 🙂
Awesome 🙂 I’ll definitely be looking into these!!
Thank you for these terrific books! I purchased them and read them over the weekend – and then my husband did, too 🙂
It is so handy to have all of this information in one place and I printed the books and put them in my home management notebook’s gardening section. Thanks you for the time and effort you put into this project!
Best Wishes, Kara
Thank you for these ebooks and all the wonderful information on your site! Hope to start a square foot garden soon for my family.
